Meet Our Kids Pastor - Jeremy Hogue

Pastor Jeremy Hogue has been serving in children's ministry since 2007 — the same year he married his wife, Christina, in September. Together, they have three wonderful children: Caleb, Sara, and Liam, who all share a passion for serving in NL Kids alongside their parents.

Pastor Jeremy and Christina are passionate about helping children discover their identity in Christ and understand that they have been created with a God-given purpose. Their heart is to see every child grow in their relationship with Jesus and walk boldly in the truth of who He created them to be.

They are also deeply committed to partnering with parents, coming alongside them to encourage and equip them in the beautiful — and sometimes challenging — journey of parenting. They believe ministry is strongest when the church and the home work together.

Pastor Jeremy leads with a heart full of faith, a love for kids and families, and a vision to see the next generation rooted in the love and truth of Christ.

At New Life Kids, we believe every child deserves a place to grow — to encounter Jesus, build friendships, and discover purpose.

Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

  • Warm welcome & secure check-in. Get registered easily, receive matching name tags, and pick-up tags so you know who to collect after service.
  • Age-appropriate environments. From babies through Kindergarten-5th grade: caring leaders, Bible stories, songs, crafts, games & worship tailored for them.
  • Safe & meaningful. Every team member is background-checked, trained, and committed. If we need you during service, we’ll send a quick text.
  • Partnering with parents. We equip you with resources, Scripture memory, and encouragement — walking alongside you in your child’s faith journey.

Choose a consistent service time to help your kids build lasting relationships with
their group leaders and peers.
  • Make church a regular priority—your kids will value what you value.
  • Reinforce what they’re learning by engaging with the take-home pages and discussing

Pre-registering Our Kids at New Life!

At New Life Kids, we can’t wait to welcome your family! When you arrive, please use our designated Family Parking area for your convenience. From there, make your way to our New Life Kids check-in station, where our team will greet you and help you sign in. After check-in, your child will be guided to their age-appropriate area, designed for them to learn, grow, and experience an authentic encounter with Jesus.

Introducing our Champions Room

The Champions Room is a safe, welcoming, and specially designed space within our children’s ministry for children with special needs. Here, every child is celebrated for who they are and supported according to their unique abilities and needs.
Our trained and compassionate team provides a calm, sensory-friendly
environment where children can learn, play, and grow in their understanding of God’s love at their own pace.  We’re here to partner with you to make church a joyful and inclusive experience for your entire family.
In the Champions Room, every child is seen, celebrated, and cherished—as a true champion in God’s eyes and in ours.

Age Groups at New Life Kids!

Infants (Birth – 1 year)

Your baby will be cared for by our loving, trained team in a clean, safe, and age-appropriate space. Nursery rooms are stocked with sanitized toys and supplies, and our leaders pray over every child each service. We’ll also provide a “Your Baby Today” update after service, so you know how their time went.

Toddlers & Preschool

Toddlers (2 – 5 years)
Our toddlers and preschoolers learn about God through age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, and crafts. In this stage, kids start building friendships and learning to trust caring leaders, all while discovering how much God loves them. We believe children are never too young to begin growing in faith — and we make it fun, meaningful, and memorable!

Elementary

(K – 5th grade)
Elementary kids enjoy high-energy worship, exciting games, and Bible teaching designed just for them. Each week, they gather in small groups with consistent leaders and friends to dive deeper into the lesson, explore God’s Word, memorize Scripture, and learn how to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus—all while having a blast!

FAQs

1. What age groups does NL Kids serve?
We provide care and age-appropriate service for children from infants through 5th grade, with specialized rooms based on age and developmental stage.
2. What is the check-in process like?
Our secure check-in system opens 20 minutes before service. Each child receives a name tag with a matching safety code, and parents/guardians receive a corresponding security tag for pick-up. All children can only be checked in by someone 16 years of age and older.
3. What does check-out look like?
At the end of service, you’ll return to your child’s classroom and show your security tag to the volunteer at the door. For safety reasons, children will only be released to the person with the matching tag.
If you've lost your tag, you’ll need to show ID, and a staff member will assist you. . All children can only be checked out by someone 16 years of age and older.
4. Who is watching my child?
All NL Kids Dream Team leaders are background-checked, trained, and passionate about helping children grow in their faith in a safe and loving environment.
5. What is the Champions Room?
The Champions Room is a sensory-friendly space designed for children with special needs. It's staffed by trained Dream Team leaders who create a calm and supportive environment tailored to each child's unique needs.
6. What do the kids do during service?
Children enjoy:
Worship, Bible stories, Games and crafts. Small group time for discussion and application. Our goal is to make learning about Jesus fun, engaging, and meaningful!
7. What if my child needs me during service?
If your child needs you, we’ll text you using the number you provided at check-in. Please keep your phone on vibrate and accessible during service.
